I am firmly of the opinion that we are truly, in a new golden age of comics.
All I have to say is, Brian Bendis, Mark Millar, Grant Morrison, Warren Ellis, and to a SLIGHLY teeny-tiny lesser extent...Jeph Loeb, Mark Waid, Brian Azzarello...and the list goes on and on and on and on.
It used to be that we'd get little masterpieces every few years...a Dark Knight Returns, a Watchmen, a Kingdom Come. Now, we're getting works of this caliber on almost a monthly basis.
And in just a few short weeks, we're gonna have A-List talent...for the first time in recent memory...working on the Superman titles.
I can't fucking wait.
